WYCH, Marlene Grace
February 21, 1943 – August 23, 2021
It is with tears in our eyes, and broken hearts, that we announce that Marlene Grace Wych passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Monday August 23 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary, Alberta.
Marlene was born in Bassano, Alberta. She was a hard working farm girl until moving to Calgary where she met and married Tom Wych, her husband of 61years. Together they raised 4 children.
Marlene enjoyed getting out to watch her kids and grandkids play baseball and hockey. She was an amazing cook and always took delight in family gatherings.
Marlene will be remembered most by her beautiful smile, her kind heart, generosity and her love of flowers, but most of all her bravery and strength.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband Tom; her 4 children, Tim (Tracey) Dave, Pam (Derek), and Rick (Mel); her 5 grandchildren, Samantha, Cameron, Nathan, Brayden, and Evan; her 2 great grandchildren, Jace and Rylan; and many other relatives and friends. She will be incredibly missed by all.
Cremation has taken place and there is no service planned per Marlene’s wishes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca).
Arrangements entrusted to Lawrence (Larry) Slywka, Funeral Director
