STENSKE, Elizabeth “Brenda”
October 23, 1954– Cape Breton, Nova Scotia
March 15, 2016 – Calgary, Alberta
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Brenda, on March 15 in Calgary, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Brenda will be sadly missed by son Kirk (Jennifer) and children Maeve & Ronan; her daughter Johnena; her sister Mary (Fred); her brothers Karol (Valerie) and Garfield (Margaret); her close friend Shirley; and many other nieces and nephews. We are comforted to know that Brenda will now be with her loving husband Gunther, who passed away in 2004, her brothers Mike and Andrew (Bucky), and her parents Carol and Elizabeth.
Brenda was loved by many for her nurturing and positive outlook which was evident in her passion for care giving. Brenda enjoyed crafts and gardening and above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
A private celebration to honour Brenda’s life, will be held by her family.

Dear Kirk and Johnena,
I was shocked to see your Mom had passed away. I ran into her a year or so ago where she was caring for a client that I also served and we had a nice visit although short.
You may remember me from Westboook School. Kirk I think you went to school with my son Ryan.
I pray that you will experience comfort from God and from your friends and family. It is very hard to lose a parent as I am aware but your parents went too soon.
