SINE, Lindsey Michelle
April 8, 1984 – May 27, 2022
“She was like an angel sent from heaven to share her light with the world”
Lindsey Michelle Sine (Kurpjuweit), age 38, loving mother of 3 beautiful kids, adoring wife to husband Karl Sine, passed away unexpectedly on May 27th, 2022.
Lindsey was born on April 8th, 1984 in Medicine Hat, Alberta to a large, loving family. Lindsey was an expressive, caring, fun-loving, speak-her-mind kind of girl that carried on into her adult life. Her first love was her pet cat “Tiger” whom she adored. Summers were spent boating with family and friends at Mara Lake, BC. She always looked forward to these trips and felt care-free and happiest at the lake. Lindsey was a bright light of love and joy that spread to all the lives around her. Her smile was infectious and will never be forgotten.
In 2004, Lindsey moved to Rosebud, Alberta and over the span of 7 years, made a massive impact on the lives around her. There she completed her acting degree and met the man of her dreams. In 2008, she married her loving husband Karl and in 2010 they had their first child, Olivia, in the beautiful hamlet of Rosebud. Her greatest joy and most fulfilling job was being a mother.
In 2011, Lindsey and her family moved to Cochrane, Alberta, residing close to Karl’s parents where she discovered her true passion for midwifery. After experiencing her own home births, Lindsey pursued employment with Cochrane Community Midwives. Through incredible work ethic and a dedicated passion for her job, Lindsey was an integral part in the birth and growth of Shifra Centre for Wellness. She poured her heart and soul into the lives of every expecting mother that came through the door, ensuring each of them received the love and care that they needed.
Lindsey is survived by her loving husband Karl, her three adored children Olivia, Charlie, and Zachary, her parents Merle and Dorothy, her two sisters Jennifer (Chris), and Christie (Chris), and her brother Michael (Yvonne), and her loving in-laws Glen and Brenda, Tom (Kelly), Luke (Rachel), and many nieces and nephews.
Lindsey’s memorial service will be held on June 16, 2022 @ 2:30pm at Rockpointe Church (Bearspaw), 255024 Lockheed Rd, Calgary, AB T3L 2R2. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Karl, Olivia, Charlie, Zachary, Merle, Dorothy, Glen, Brenda and family. We have no words that could adequately express this loss. I (Wanda) will always be grateful for the kind smile and helpful heart I experienced in Lindsey when I would come to Rosebud for a meeting or rehearsal. She had such an incredible light in her and so much love. I was encouraged by her many times. As we have read the last while the stories about her, I am not the only one who experienced her in this way. And I am not surprised. When someone lives their life as Lindsey did, genuinely, it impacts so many. Such a legacy. Our prayers of deep comfort and strength are with you all. If any of you need a listening ear, please do not hesitate to reach out. You are not alone. Wanda and John

We are sending out our deepest condolences to Lindsay’s family.
I only had brief encounters with Lindsay through Shifra, but every single time I spoke to her I left with a smile on my face. My first time speaking to her was on the phone where she helped me complete the intake when I was pregnant with my first child. I was nervous and giddy sharing this information with someone I had never met, and her genuine excitement and care for us came through the phone like a burst of sunshine. I’ll never forget that phone call and how supported she made me feel. When I close my eyes I can see her bright smile and beautiful laugh that was there every time we walked through the doors at Shifra. I hope her loved ones can forever hear that laugh and feel her spirit – she was one of a kind and the world was lucky to have had her share her light.
Rest In Peace, Lindsay ♥️
Karl, Brenda, Glen and all the family I just want to send you my deepest sympathies for your loss. I’m thinking about you all and sending you love and prayers.
