SCHULTZ, Isabel Annie (nee Dyler)

June 13, 1929 – September 1, 2019

Isabel Annie Schultz (nee Dyler) of Calgary, passed away at the Dulcina Hospice on Sunday September 1, 2019.  She was predeceased by her loving husband of forty seven years, Bennie Frank Schultz, and her daughter Linda Schultz in 1979.  Isabel is survived by her children; Larry Schultz (Darlene), Lorraine Schultz, Lois Goldsworthy, Leona Arseneault, Laura Negard (Doug), Lyle Schultz (Penny), Leland Schultz (Medina), and Lola O’Brien (Ken).  She had twelve grandchildren; Tammy (Herbert) Lieske, Rosalind Goldsworthy, David (Donna) Schultz, Loreen (Dave) McIlwrick, Amanda (Nelson) Skeard, Alyssa Negard, April (Kelly) Thiessen, Guy (Angelique) Verquin, Jules (Sandy) Verquin, Aaron O’Brien, Sarah (Julian) Schultz, Kristopher (Caitlyn) Schultz, Colin (Charmayn) Schultz, and ten great grandchildren; Kurtis (Garrette), Kathleen ‘Missy’ (Vince) and Spencer Lieske, Vanessa (Jason), Carly (Drew) and Madeline McIlwrick, Brooke Schultz, Sawyer and Silas Negard Skeard, Rebecca and Abigail Thiessen.  Isabel has one living brother, Harry Dyler, on the West Coast.  She was predeceased by eight other siblings; Jim, Bob, Jack, Joe, Jean, William, and Walter. 

She loved life to the fullest as she travelled to many destinations with family and friends.  She worked as a cook for Central Park Lodge Nursing Home and Home Oil.  Isabel enjoyed cooking, baking, cards, puzzles, and spending time with loved ones.  Isabel often said she had a full and happy life. She will be sadly missed by all those whose lives that were touched by her. 

A Celebration of Isabel’s Life will be held on Friday September 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Church, 6311 Norfolk Drive N.W. Calgary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

    We are so sorry for the loss of your dear Mom. She was the sweetest Lady I ever knew. The time comes and you think to yourself Ok it’s for the best but the heart doesn’t always agree and it still hurts .
    We are so sorry we will not be able to come on Friday because of a Specialist Dr appointment but know we will be thinking of you all.

    We are all so sorry to hear about the loss of Isabel. I know dad has many fond memories of her. She was an amazing lady and had the largest heart. Having to take care of all the kids probably wasn’t easy, but she did it in the most loving way possible.
