She later moved to Canada. After graduating from Lord Beaver Brook High School in Calgary, Catherine dedicated her life to her family. She lived many places and had many different careers, but her truest passion was always being creative. Catherine was an avid artist and lover of all things imaginative. Her favourite medium was stained glass however she was also a very gifted painter. Her creativity was evident in everything she did. Catherine’s kindness and generous heart was what guided her to so many connections. She touched so many lives, but none more than her family’s. Catherine will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Catherine requested no services be held and that her ashes be spread where she called home. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to your favourite charity.

The Blessing”

In the morning when you rise
I bless the sun, I bless the skies
I bless your lips, I bless your eyes
My blessing goes with you

In the nighttime when you sleep
Oh I bless you while a watch I keep
As you lie in slumber deep
My blessing goes with you

This is my prayer for you
There for you, ever true
Each, every day for you
In everything you do

And when you come to me
And hold me close to you
I bless you
And you bless me, too

When your weary heart is tired
If the world would leave you uninspired
When nothing more of love’s desired
My blessing goes with you

When the storms of life are strong
When you’re wounded, when you don’t belong
When you no longer hear my song
My blessing goes with you

This is my prayer for you
There for you, ever true
Each, every day for you
In everything you do

And when you come to me
And hold me close to you
I bless you
And you bless me, too

I bless you
And you bless me, too

Jessica, I just came across the FB announcement of Catherine’s passing. I knew her from her time in Creston, and although not in touch for a long time, I often thought of her, her generous nature and artistic talent especially with stained glass. And so I will remember her.
