June 19, 1927 – May 17, 2013
Errold passed away peacefully holding the hand of the woman with whom he was able to celebrate his 60th wedding anniversary just the night before. He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Dora, and four loving kids, Laurie, Jill, Shawn (Michael) and Devon (Kevin) and three “he couldn’t have loved them more” grandchildren, Brae, Cole and Dakota. Errold was predeceased by his daughter Rennie – who brought us all “Joy” – his parents, and all of his siblings. He is fondly remembered by all of his Tupper and Shantz nieces and nephews, by our dear family friends Christina and Bob, the Sewing Club, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends. Our dad was a builder of dams, bridges, and buildings; of houses, of polo fields and barns; but most importantly he was a builder of friendships, of a home and a wonderful life and family. We will all miss him.
A celebration of Errold’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 128 First Street E., Cochrane, Alberta. On Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, we would like to encourage memorial tributes in Errold’s memory may be made directly to the Libin Cardiovascular Institute. University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine, Fund Development – Health Science Centre, 3330 Hospital Drive N.W., Calgary, AB. T2N 4N1 or netcommunity.ucalgary.ca/LCI to whom our thanks go out for their wonderful care.
