The wife (Bobbi) and daughter (Shelby) of Tim Smith sadly announce that he took his final earthly ride to the trails in the sky.
Since he was young Tim never was a person to sit on the side lines, he took all opportunities to be actively engaged in life, he participated in school sports, church and his community. He early on found a lifelong passion of anything automotive, building his first dirt bike as a teenager and mastering the trails of Waiparous at the age of 15. Tim later went on to get his class 1 license and spent 40 loyal years in the trucking industry.
It could not go unsaid that most of Tim's happiest moments and certainly his greatest passion in life was the great outdoors! He was a avid outdoors man and a lover of nature. Tim found freedom and excitement riding the trails through the endless treeline and he found peace and beauty in the quiet stillness of majestic mountains. He spent so much of his time quading, camping and fishing, and he especially thrived in sharing it with those he loved and cared about.
Tim took after his mom with his exceptional character, he was one of the good guys, a real old school, well rounded man of principle. With his open heart and loyal nature Tim met and kept countless friends over the years, many of which he considered family.
For the last fifteen years Tim has been the most accepting and supportive partner and husband one can be. Twelve years ago he earned his proudest title of "dad" at which he excelled! He was home for them, a steadfast loving best friend to them both. Besides title of husband and father, Tim was also a son, big brother, uncle, nephew, son-in-law, brother-in-law, best friend and buddy to so many who will lovingly remember and miss him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Darrius Hall in Cochrane Alberta, on January 6th 2024 at 12pm. Everyone is welcome.
Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean we'll miss you, until we meet again.
