We are saddened to announce the passing of Leonard Tetreault, who died peacefully in Calgary at the age of 94.

Leonard was born in Kinley, Saskatchewan, one of 11 children born to Felix Hormisdas and Marie Eliza (Brodeur) Tetreault. He was predeceased by his daughter Patricia in 2011. He is survived by his daughter Lenore (Rick Cockburn) and son Donald (Lynn), their mother Margaret, grandchildren: Teri (Cat), Christian, Remi (Keitha), Timothy, Jessica, and Daniel, and great-granddaughter Erica. Len is also survived by two brothers: Louis and Stanley, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends. He will be lovingly remembered.

Starting out as carpenter and local contractor in St. Brieux, Saskatchewan, Leonard’s long career as a Superintendent and Project Manager for PCL Construction left significant marks in many cities, including Edmonton, Winnipeg, Regina, Kitchener, Lethbridge, and Calgary. After retirement in 1984, Len became an avid golfer and has the rare distinction of two holes-in-one, in addition to being invited to participate in the Alberta Summer Games as a senior.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 in the afternoon on Sunday, June 8, 2014.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014 with Interment of Leonard’s cremated remains to follow at the Cochrane Cemetery.

The location for both events will be held at Cochrane Country Funeral Home, #6, 402 Railway Street West, Cochrane, Alberta.
