Magdalena was called home into the gracious arms of our God on Monday, June 4, 2012. Born May 17, 1934 near Tiege, former W. Prussia, Germany, daughter of Rev. Bruno and Helene Enss. They migrated to Canada in 1949 after four difficult refugee years. On July 6, 1957, Magdalena and Erwin Strempler were married in Winnipeg, MB. Leaving to mourn her passing are her husband of 55 years Erwin, her children Harold (Sigrid), Monica (Kelvin) Rempel, Leona (Hellmut) Regehr, six grandchildren Robert, Corinne, Logan, Nathan, Emma and Hanna, one great-granddaughter Kayla, and many relatives and friends.
Thank you to our church community, Pastor Doug Klassen and all our friends. A memorial service is planned for Monday, June 11, 2012, 1:00 pm at Foothills Mennonite Church, 2115 Urbana Road, NW, Calgary, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MCC Alberta.
