Peacefully, following orthopedic surgery, Ruth Lenore Harron (née Turner), born in Woodstock, Ontario to Walter Sherwood Turner and Clara Belle Schofield, passed away on September 13
th
2018 at the age of 95, at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta.
She was the wife of the late Mervyn Elmer Harron. She is survived by her son Terrence Willian Harron (Marie Desmarais); grandchildren Éric Harron, Robert Harron (Piper); and great-grandchildren Alexandre and Julien. Ruth also will be fondly remembered by her surviving nieces and nephews Monica Harron, Reginald Harron, Sylvia Harron, David Harron, Sandra Harron, Elizabeth Smith and Stephen Smith and by her sister-in-law Margaret (Leverne) Smith.
In due time, Ruth’s urn will be brought to the Woodstock Cemetery where she will be interred to rest next to her beloved husband. Family members wish to express their gratitude to the staff of the Revera Residence at Scenic Acres in Calgary, Alberta for the care they provided to Ruth during the past year and a half. Anyone wishing to donate in her memory should consider the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary.
