Thelma passed away peacefully on October 15, 2015 at the age of 89 years. She was born in the Calgary General Hospital, and was proud to call herself a ” Native ” Calgarian. She was predeceased by her daughter Marianne Bradley in 2003. Thelma is lovingly remembered by her husband Doug of 65 years, her sons: Bruce ( Bonnie ), and Gord ( Joanne ), her seven Grandchildren; Trevor (Kate), Torrie (Mike), Travis (Amber), Curtis (Megan), Colin, Nicole and Kevin, four great grandchildren; Brooke, Griffen, Morgan and Gwynn, her sister Betty ( Drew ) Mitchell, son in-law Ken, daughter in-law Lois, many cousins, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Friends and family are asked to meet at the 4th Street N.W. entrance (3219 -4th Street NW, Calgary ) at 10:30 A.M., and be guided to the grave site. Following the graveside service, friends and family are invited to join the family for a time of fellowship at Calgary Crematorium located within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery.
