With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Dr. John O’Gorman, a much-loved husband, father and grandfather on October 27, 2014. He passed away at home with his family by his side. John was born in County Limerick, Ireland and went on to graduate from the National University of Ireland and Liverpool University Medical School. In 1969, John and his family emigrated from the U.K. to Canada where he pursued a career in Public Health until his retirement in 1992. Throughout his life, John shared his passion for golf, horses, tennis and gardening with his family.
His honesty and integrity will be a legacy he leaves behind. His gentle, kind and modest nature will be sorely missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara and his children, Richard (Carole), Timothy (Krista) and Judith. His seven grandchildren will miss him dearly. John’s extended family in Ireland will remember him fondly. To honour John’s wishes, a private family service was held.
