1946 (Orillia, Ontario) – 2023 (Cochrane, Alberta)
Heather Ann passed away peacefully on September 3, 2023, at Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane, Alberta. Loving mother of Carolee (Bjorn), Robert (Irene) and devoted stepmother of Annette and Rob Roy. Heather Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Gord and Ethel Pye of Orillia, Ontario, the much-loved sister of Gord (Joan) and Sandra (Bruce) and sister-in-law of Helen (Gerry) and Dora. Dear Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Heather Ann’s grandchildren Abbigayle, Noah, Bowdyn, Brett, Nicholas, Sasha, Kiera, Kinlee, Ryder, Ashley Ann, Marcus, and Kristena brought her much joy and she kept them in her heart whatever the circumstance and whether near or far.
Heather Ann was extremely proud of her over 35 years of service as a Registered Nurse working in pediatrics and long-term care facilities in Toronto and then Medicine Hat. She loved cooking, baking, and cake decorating and spoiled her friends and family with her renowned peanut-brittle, gingerbread houses, nuts-and-bolts, and home-made chocolates during the holidays. A devout Edmonton Oilers fan, Heather Ann never missed a game and proudly wore her McDavid hockey jersey.
Predeceased by her dears: daughter Lisa, sister Meredith, brother-in-law Angelo, stepson Wayne, brother-in-law Jim and most recently her cherished grandson Kolton.
