Cindy Lee Mjolsness

June 12, 1959 — November 19, 2017

June 12, 1959 – November 19, 2017

It is with profound sadness we announce Cindy has passed away. She leaves to mourn her husband Ted Duffell, her son Quinn Mjolsness, her step-daughter Naomi Duffell (Mike Schlosser) and family of Calgary, her father Chester (Martha) of Cochrane, brothers Brian of Atlin B.C., Barry (Lorna) of Calgary, sister Lorie (Royce) of Cochrane, in-laws Bill and Marquerite Duffell, Bonnie Duffell-Farrier (Dale) and Stephen Duffell (Debbie), all of High River. Cindy was predeceased by her mother Beryl Mjolsness in 1995. Cindy will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and her special great nephew and great niece Jaxson and Jorja who made her smile daily.

After graduating, Cindy packed her bags and headed to Vancouver to fulfill her dream of living by the ocean. For 25 years she worked in the movie and TV industry. Her other passions included singing and working with flowers. Cindy joined local choirs in Vancouver and Cochrane. Cindy’s dream of owning a flower store became a reality when she moved back to Cochrane and opened Petal Pushers flower shop. Five years later the call of the ocean brought Cindy back to the west coast where she enjoyed many trips to Hermit Island and Black Rock with her friends of 20 years, the McKenzie’s.

As per Cindy’s wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation

in Cindy’s memory.
