James Garry May passed away in Cochrane, Alberta on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 73 years of age. He was born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan on September 6, 1941, the fourth and youngest son in the family.

Garry bought grain for U.G.G. at Mantario and Landis Saskatchewan for over 36 years. In 1997 he retired to Martinsons Beach at Jackfish Lake, in 2010 he moved to Cochrane and spent the last 15 winters at Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

He was an avid sportsman; golf, curling, hunting, hockey, cards, and more. Garry was always in the mood to play games, tease his kids and grandchildren, he loved to be around family and friends. His jokes always lightened the mood.

He was predeceased by his brothers; Richard and Harvey also his parents; Gordon and Eva. Garry is lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Karen, four sons; Bernie, Richard (Christa), Rodney (Suzanne), and Brent (Erin) and six grandchildren; Jordan, Nicole, Carson, Chelsey, Ruby and Winston.

He is also survived by his brother Lee (Rose) and sister-in law Dorothy, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Garry’s Life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church,

(128 First Street East, Cochrane) on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.
