Remembering Maureen Gourley
Maureen Gourley, a cherished Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, passed away unexpectedly on October 20th, leaving behind a legacy of love and service.
She is survived by her devoted children, Kevin, Glenda (Carson), Marlene, and Jodi (Jamie), as well as her ten grandchildren, Justin (Susie), Tyler (Clodagh), Steffany, Danielle, Carly, Madison (Humdan), Mikenna, Brenek, Trenton, and Raedyn. Maureen also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Reagan and Traysen, who brought her immense joy. Her sister Norma, brother Dave (Karen), and many nieces and nephews will fondly remember her.
Reflecting on Maureen’s life, one can’t help but admire her resilience and heart for serving others. She was predeceased by her husband Jim, with whom she built a life and business, Aggressive Construction, and then continued her life’s work in caring for others through her employment at “We Care”, and in her daily interactions with others.
Maureen was also predeceased by her Son-in-Law Dale Clark, Grandson Jared Mashinter, and several beloved brothers and sisters-in-law.
Maureen was truly the anchor for her family. Her dedication to following Jesus and sharing his love was unwavering. Through countless prayers and a steadfast commitment to her faith, she embodied the teachings of the Bible, leaving an undeniable impression on everyone she met.
Maureen lived her life following Jesus, studying the Bible and living a life in service to others. She had an unwavering love and faith. She was a prayer warrior who wanted everyone to know Jesus love for them and have an eternal place in heaven.
We invite you to come celebrate her life and legacy at her service, which will be held on Monday October 28th at 11:00 am at Cochrane Alliance Church. Luncheon to follow at the church.
