Mary (Foster) Evdokimoff, a loving and devoted mother and wife, passed away at Rockyview Hospital in Calgary, Alberta on February 28, 2025, at the age of 95 years.
She is dearly missed by her surviving children, Ann (Clint) Honke, Peter (Donita) Evdokimoff, Jr and Masha (Donald) Budden, 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She surely is missed by Maxx and Zaylee Mann who shared a very special relationship growing up with Great Grandma. Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband, Peter Evdokimoff, Sr., and her daughter, Katherine (Emanuel) Beck.
Born to Gerda (Holman) Foster and Donald Delacey Foster in Summit, New Jersey, she was the middle child of three children. Her older brother, Jim (Loretta) Foster, and her younger sister, Ann (Ralph) Partridge sadly predeceased her.
Mary was a woman of great beauty, grace and class. Her kind, beautiful and compassionate heart was filled with joy whenever she was near babies (of any sort), nature, art, and music. Those who did not know her well believed her to be quiet and reserved. Those who were blessed to befriend her, recognized the mischievous glint in her eye and her fabulous sense of humor! She loved life and all it had to offer!
Mary worked as a Registered Nurse in Thunder Bay, Ontario in the early years of her marriage. Her kindness, patience and compassion were well recognized and appreciated by her many patients, co-workers and hospital management. She left the employ of the hospital to raise her family moving to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and then to Calgary, Alberta. Mary kept busy in her mid-to-late years helping in the family business, The Yacht Yard.
Mary had an impeccable sense of style, enjoyed the arts, caring for her home and family, writing poetry, cooking, knitting, sewing and reading. She was a very kind, generous teacher, a deep thinker, and a considerate, non-judgmental, and loving mom. She is and will continue to be missed terribly!
