Lorne Wilfred Summerhays

With broken hearts we announce that our beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, passed away in Cochrane, AB at the age of 76 years. 

Lorne will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Donna; his son Darin Summerhays; his daughters Lesley DeGagne (Jeremy) and Jeannie (William) Summerhays; his grandchildren, Jordyn and Cassidy Summerhays, Brayden DeGagne, and Skyla Summerhays; his siblings, Roy, Linda and Gary; and many extended family and wonderful friends. Lorne was predeceased by his parents Florence and Wilfred, and his brother Lavern.

Lorne loved all sports. He played hockey and was a minor hockey coach. Lorne also loved working in his yard and gardening and spent many days on the deck with his special dog, Oli . But most of all, Lorne loved his family and we always came first. He always called us ‘The Big 5’. 

At Lorne’s request, there will be no funeral.
