Lee passed away peacefully on the evening at the age of 70 years old in the presence of family. Survived by and stepfather of Lorena Akins and Kim Wereschuk and Grandfather to Lydan Akins, Aaron Akins, Kayla Akins and Taylor Merrifield.
Lee and Laverne enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening together. He pursued hobbies of model making, and art in his spare time. His true passion was photography and he had a fun and prosperous career as a photographer throughout his life.
He was predeceased by His Loving Wife of 28 years Laverne Toms (Mellett), and his parents, Mother Ivy Thoms and Father Lawrence Thoms.
In his later years due to dementia Lee was transferred to and resided at Mayfair Care Center. Our family would like to extend a big thank you to all the staff for the loving care they provided.
A celebration of life with family members will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, where he shall be placed next to his beloved wife to rest in peace. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Leland Douglas Toms, please visit our flower store.
