It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Freda Lambert of Cochrane, AB who passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 30th 2020 at the age of 58.
Freddy was born in Middleton, Nova Scotia on January 28, 1962. She moved to Cochrane in the 80’s where she married Byron Lambert and together they raised their daughter Ashlynd.
Freddy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Ashlynd Lambert, her son in law Jeremy, and her grandchildren Avery, Travis and Adalyn; her brothers, Brian and Todd Veinott and sister in law Jolanna; Sharon, Byron, Terra, Randeen, and Treva Lambert; and many many friends who will miss her dearly.
Freddy is predeceased by her parents Carolyn and Richard Veinott of Nova Scotia, her father in law Raymond Lambert, and her two dogs who she rescued, Cassie and Meko.
Freddy spent many years working at the Lucky Penny Pizza in Cochrane, bartending at the Texas Gate, and working in jewelry retail which was her absolute passion.
She will always be remembered by her sense of humour, passion for jewelry and most of all how she always shined through her pain and showed so much strength. She lived her life to the fullest. She fought with all of her strength, courage and determination until the very end.
The family is eternally thankful for all of her healthcare team. Freddy received passionate care from Cochrane Homecare, her surgeon team in Calgary and her family physician and counsellor in Cochrane.
Freda’s long journey of surgeries and extensive pain is now over. She is now flying high up above with all the other angels.
Due to current restrictions, the family is unable to have a funeral service. There will be a balloon and bubbles release at her home in Cochrane to celebrate her life.
