Evelyn passed away peacefully in her own home September 16, 2015. Ev was born on the farm north of Cochrane on May 12, 1934. She attended Cochrane Lakes School until the age of ten and then went to school in Cochrane after her family moved into Town in 1945. Ev went to work for the Post Office at the age of 16 and worked there on and off for 43 years.
It was during this time that she met Vern Lambert. They married in 1953. Ev and Vern built a house on the lot next to Ev’s parents and lived there until 1976 when they moved to the ranch on Grand Valley. She also worked for Cochrane’s first I.G.A., Kerfoot and Downs Hardware and Lorne Helmig’s Esso Station. In 1981 Ev started delivering mail to rural boxes around the Cochrane area until retiring 14 years later. Ev is survived by her husband Vern. She was predeceased by her father, Alex Beadle and her mother, Luella Beadle.
