It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend. Mike was born in Stettler, AB and continued his travels to Calgary where he proudly served the Calgary Fire Department for 37 years retiring as Captain in 2005. In his retired years he spent much of his time with his Grandchildren, and beloved horses Seattle & Misty. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Samantha. Mike is lovingly remembered by his Daughter Kerri (Mike) & Grandson Keegan of Calgary, and Son Michael & Granddaughter Miley of Kelowna, BC. Mike is also survived by his brothers: Jesse, Ken (Faith), Stephen (Donna), and Garry (Charlene), many nieces and nephews, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at MOUNTAIN VIEW MEMORIAL GARDENS, FUNERAL HOME 1605 – 100 Street S.E. (Google/GPS – 242013 Garden Road S.E.), Calgary, AB., on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial tributes in Mike’s Memory may be made directly to the Calgary Fire Fighters Burn Treatment Society, #136,440-10816 Macleod Trail South East Calgary, AB T2J 5N8.
