Susan Koehler (Greenaway) passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the age of 59 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Stacy Koehler (Tyler), Carrie (Lyle) Dinn, Sarah Koehler (Chad), Amy Koehler and Kathy Quaschnick (Brian); sons Bob Quaschnick (Krista) and Dan Quaschnick (Ayla); grandchildren Cullen, Ellyann, Tyler, Colby, Aiden, Spencer, Anna, Ashley and Chloe; siblings Jackie (Lorne) Mills, Richard, Marylou, Kathy, Tim and Rob (Deb). She was predeceased by her husband Roy Quaschnick, granddaughter Savana, parents Roger & Edna Greenaway and siblings Patricia, Michael, Larry and Wendy.
Susan was born in WIndsor, ON and raised on a farm in a rural community nearby. She graduated from Essex High School, started her family and then moved to Alberta where she met the love of her life Roy in Brooks. Roy and Sue blended families and eventually settled in Cochrane in 1986.
Susan returned to school and graduated at the age of 40 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Susan was always involved in the community which was seen in her work with the Rotary Club, the Kidney Foundation, the Legion and much more. Her greatest love was her family as demonstrated in her immense love and pride for her children, grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Susan will be forever remembered by friends and family alike for her kindness, generosity of spirit and terrific sense of humour. A Funeral Service will be held for Susan at St. Andrews United Church (128 First Street, Cochrane) on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow at the Cochrane Legion, Branch 15 (114 5th Avenue, Cochrane).
