September 16, 2017 – December 24, 2017
AudreyAnna was born at home in Slave Lake, Alberta to John and
Julia Knelsen on September 16, 2017. She had an easy and quick
entrance into the world and that’s how she left us as well. All she did
the first 2 weeks of her life was eating and sleeping. She gave Momma
lots of time to rest. As she got older she was more aware of her
surroundings. If she saw Momma or Daddy looking at her, she would
start smiling. She was active, full of smiles and loved “talking” with us.
She loved the special time with Daddy when he got home from work.
Snuggling with him and Octavia on the couch every evening. She
loved her older sister, she would watch her and smile at her when she
came close. Their bath time together was very special.
On Christmas Eve, an hour after she was put down for her nap, we found
her in her crib. She died from SIDS. The shock, the unbelief, the tears, the
denial, the broken hearts, the empty arms, God sees it all. We miss
her, more than words can tell. She is predeceased by 2 little aunties, 1
uncle, Great grandparents and great aunts and uncles. She leaves
behind to mourn her parents, John & Julia Knelsen, older sister
Octavia, Grandparents, Jake & Anna Kornelsen; Uncle Conrad & Aunt
Sara, cousins Brady, Quentin & Azariah; Uncle Jerry, Aunt Joann,
Grandparents Franz & Margaretha Knelsen, Uncle Benjie & Aunt
Susie, cousins Nathan and Nikayla; Uncle Reynold & Aunt Trudy,
cousins Krissandra & Josiah; Aunt Susie, Uncles Corny, Willy & Jerry
as well as a large number of extended family and friends. Her bright
little smile reached many people’s hearts already. We are incredibly
thankful for the thousands of prayers going up for us. We truly feel
them. And for all those who have helped in some way. God bless you
richly! We ask for continued prayers that the Father would carry us in
our grief. We are thankful for our Almighty God who is so near to us
and the many friends and supporters we have, we couldn’t do it
without all of you!
Little One Gone
Ten little fingers and ten tiny toes,
A sweet baby face and a small cute nose,
Snuggled in blankets, so cuddly and soft,
Loved and cherished and prayed for so oft.
How painful to walk the path Abraham trod,
Laying this treasure on the altar of God.
No lamb in the thicket to take his place;
Yet God provided the strength and grace.
“Twas not in vain, the short time she was here,
Hearts were touched and to God drew near.
So precious to you, and so hard to part,
She is precious also to God’s own heart.
“Do not fear, for I am with you: do not be dismayed for I am your God,
I will strengthen you and help you: I will uphold you with my righteous
hand.” -Isaiah 41:10
