With peace and solace, and joy that he’s at rest, Lynn Johnson passed away gently in the loving arms of his wife Elizabeth (Liz) Johnson, late in the evening on Friday, December 13

Lynn will be deeply missed by his wife Elizabeth (Liz); daughter Julie (Rick) and their children David and Victoria; daughter Tracy Lynn and her son James; step daughter Anita (Michael) and their children Leah and Joshua; his sister Carmine; many nieces, nephews, extended family and wonderful friends. Lynn is predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Lynn was born in Lacombe, AB and raised in Blackfalds, AB where he attended school. He also attended the University of Alberta. Lynn later lived in Ontario and Saskatchewan but he had to come back to Alberta to what he says is “God’s country”. Alberta has always been his home. Lynn worked his life in mechanical sales and service, was passionate about music, and was an avid reader. Lynn was comfortable in his own skin and at complete peace with where he was in his life. His motto, which he lived, was “Don’t complain; don’t explain”.
A Celebration of Lynn’s Life will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 2:00 pm at St. Andrew’s United Church (128 – 1 Street East, Cochrane, AB). For any musicians in attendance, please bring your instrument as an Acoustic Jam will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lung Association (
