Jeffrey Keith May

June 26, 1979 — July 25, 2024

Jeffrey Keith May currently of Calgary Alberta (Water Valley) passed away suddenly on Thursday July 25, 2024, at the age of 45. Jeff was born to Maxine Blankert and Ron (Dillion) May on June 26, 1979, in Calgary Alberta.

Jeff had a zest for life like no other. He passionately helped all those around him that he loved dearly. Jeff could fix anything from cars to carpentry, his skill set was vast. Jeff’s bright smile shone for all those dear to his heart.

In his younger years, Jeff attended Cremona school. During this time, he played hockey, his work ethic was noted at a young age. Jeff was also a member of the army Cadets, something he took seriously and was a dedicated member. After school Jeff went to work on the rigs and did so for many years. After the rigs he went to work for his stepdad, Rob. This is where he learned his carpentry skills. Through the years Jeff was also a volunteer fire fighter. He was a valued member of the Water Valley Rodeo committee and spent countless hours organizing and hosting the Water Valley Rodeo. Jeff moved on to work at Western RV and lived his final days in Calgary. Jeff was a very valued employee of Western RV. He loved growing and learning in his position. He enjoyed spending time with his work family. His kindness, work ethic and knowledge did not go unnoticed.

On October 13, 2001, Jeff married Nancy Janzen. Together they had two children, a son Riley and a beautiful daughter, Kaylee. Jeff was so proud of his children. He spent many hours following Riley to his BMX races. He beamed when he talked about Riley’s racing accomplishments, the pride shining. The apple of his eye, Kaylee held a special place in her dad’s heart, he loved to watch her dance competitions and thought she was the most beautiful dancer. Jeff loved hunting and he was thrilled to teach both his children the art of ‘bagging” the big buck. He would do anything and everything for his kids.

Jeff leaves behind to mourn his children, Riley and Kaylee as well as their mother Nancy. He will be dearly missed by his mom, Maxine and his stepdad Rob Blankert. His sister Brenda, her children Bailee (Justus and their three kids), Houston and Khloe and their dad Tim Nielsen. His brother Craig (Michelle) May, their combined children Makayla, Brooklyn, Gavin and Tater. His sister Kaitlyn (Ben) Gallant and their daughters Paisley and Remi. His brother Darwin (Amelia) May, their son Jericho. His brother Tyler May. His Maternal Grandmother Frances (Rick) Winter. As well as many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly.

Jeff was predeceased by his father Ron (Dillion) May. His Paternal Grandparents Boyd and Ethel May. His Opa and Opoe Blankert. His Maternal Grandfather Patrick Kinch. His Aunt Leslie Kinch-Wolf
