October 21, 1912 – August 7, 2013
On Wednesday August 7th, with her children at her side, our wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away peacefully at the George Boyack Care Centre in Calgary, Alberta.
Born in Fort William, ON on October 21st 1912 she is predeceased by her husband Edward(1988) and her eldest son William(2004) and is survived by her two sons, Tom (Heather) of Brantford, ON. John (Jane) of Niagara Falls, ON, and her daughter, Colleen Kozak (Gary) of Cochrane, AB.
Also survived by six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, Nathane (Tara), Stefanie (Graham), Meryn (Clement) and Victoria (David) as well as three great grandchildren, Valerie, Kash and Elliott.
Rose lived the majority of her life in Welland,ON.and touched many people throughout her 101 years with her strong faith that every day was a blessing and lived her life in the same way. Our Mother always put family first and had the strength to get us through the most difficult of times with music and laughter. She spent many healthy and happy years travelling with family, relatives and friends enjoying much of North America; her remaining nine years were spent in Calgary under the loving care of her daughter and son in law. Singing was a great part of her life and she sang until the end entertaining her family.
Rose’s family would like to thank Dr. Stinton and all the third floor staff at the George Boyack Care Centre for providing a loving and caring environment that enriched her life over the past 6 years.
