It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Grandma, Sister and Friend. She was born and raised in Calgary residing in Cochrane, AB.
Mae passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Agape Hospice, Calgary surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She had a tremendous love for her family and her many friends; she was a strong and gentle woman with such a big heart. Mae was predeceased by her husband Lloyd, her parents Fern and Clarence, and her brother Tommy. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her five children; Doug (Cheryl), Debbie, Sam, Bev (Roy), and Ronda (Kent), stepsons; John and Norman, and 42 grandchildren.Mae is also survived by her brother Jerry and sister Joy, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Mae’s Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.15, 114 – 5th Avenue W. Cochrane on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Agape Hospice, 1302 8 Ave NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1B8 (403) 282-6588 or www.agapehospice.ca .
