June 24, 1939 – November 3, 2012
Doreen was born to Ernest and Edna Dickey at the Grace Hospital in Calgary and was raised at her family’s dairy farm in Bears Paw.
She attended Western Canada High School and then worked as a Key punch operator.
From 1960 she resided with her husband Pat, where she was partners running a farm and agribusiness.
Most of 2012 was spent battling cancer, she was admitted to the Agape Hospice in October.
Doreen is lovingly remembered by her husband Pat, children: Robert, Gordon, and Diane, brother Harold Dickey, sister Norma Parks, eight Grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.
Her family, neighbours, and customers were of great interest to her.
A celebration of her life will be held at Cochrane Alliance Church, 902 Glenbow Drive, Cochrane, on Thursday November 8th, 2012 at 2:30 pm.
