David Heggie of Cochrane, Alberta passed away on July 8, 2014. His loving wife of 45 years, Joyce, of Cochrane, son Donald of Calgary and granddaughter Jaden Braunwarth of California survive him. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Nan Heggie of Saskatoon, his brother Jack, sister, Sybil and his son Kirk. Dave was born in Saskatoon on May 18, 1946. He attended Westmount School, Bedford Road Collegiate and graduated from the college of Pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan in 1969. Dave and Joyce operated High Prairie Pharmacy for 23 years. In 1996 the business was sold and the family moved to Cochrane. Dave closed out a satisfying community pharmacy career after working several years for Calgary Co-op. Dave will be missed by many family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Cochrane Cemetery for the interment of the urn on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 10:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Dave’s life at Cochrane Alliance Church, 902 Glenbow Drive, Cochrane, Alberta at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Larry Charter Officiating.
