It is with sadness that we announce Cam Fleming peacefully passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012 at the age of 97. Cam as he was known by many friends was born in Semans Saskatchewan March 5, 1915. Cam was predeceased by his parents Hilda and Charles, sisters Beth and Shiel. Cam had a long and happy career driving for Greyhound in the early days, which took him to Alaska. Cam drove a bus for the North West Service Command in Alaska when U.S. Army personnel were building the Alaska Highway in WW11. Cam worked for Brewster Transport in Banff from 1936 retiring in 1983, which took him many places in Canada. Upon retirement he moved to Carmangay, Alberta enjoying the Prairies and traveling for a number of years. Cam later returned to Banff residing at Cascade House where he loved the mountains. Cam’s closest friends wish to thank all the staff at Cascade House for his care in recent years, and also wish to thank Bethany Care Cochrane staff for their care and compassion. A donation may be made to your local Animal Humane Society in Cam’s memory. A private service will be held at a later date.
