On the morning of September 9th we said farewell to Maria Dunki. She battled lung cancer for over a year, but in the end she passed peacefully with dignity and grace. She was surrounded by family, all grateful for the time to say the things we needed to say. Maria was a professor, a mother, a wife, a horsewoman, and most of all a fiercely independent spirit.
Maria is being cremated, and her ashes spread on her beloved family ranch, as was her wish. There will be no services. If you wish to express condolences, written cards are preferred. They can be sent to
