Doug passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary at 86 years of age. He was born July 14, 1926 in Calgary Alberta. Predeceased by his wife Cherie of 54 years, Doug is lovingly remembered by his children: Danny (Mabel), Heather, Jim, and Rob (Teresa). daughter in-law Sharyn, grandchildren: Becky, Nicole (Charmaine), Bobbie, Denise, Breidi, David (Nichola), Tara, Jason, and Jessica, several great grandchildren, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends. Thank you to all the medical staff that worked with him over the years.
A funeral service will be held at Eden Brook Funeral Home, 17th Avenue S.W. and Lower Spring Bank Road, Calgary, Alberta on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
