Margaret H. Catto-Perrault

August 14, 1948 — May 25, 2022

August 14, 1948 – May 25, 2022

It is with great sadness that Michelle and Raymond Perrault announce the sudden passing of their mother of 73 years on May 25,2022. We are truly devastated of her passing and are trying to cope with all the challenges that a loss may bring. We will forever be looking to the stars for answers, advice, or even just a sign from the heavens to feel her presence. She was our protector, our place for advice, our rock and most of all our beloved mother.

Margaret was born in Aberdeen Scotland and immigrated to Canada as a young girl.

She grew up in Uranium city and worked at the family restaurant while finishing school. It was there she made many memorable relationships that lasted throughout her life. Margaret was very generous and loving person. If someone was in need, she would go above and beyond to help. If she felt she had it, she gave it whole heartedly. She was a very intelligent, successful business women, that we all benefited from.

Margaret had a very long list of friends she touched throughout her 73 years. She would stop at nothing to be there for her friends and family.

Margaret loved to experience life to the fullest. In her younger years she played baseball, curling and was a avid golfer . She was adventurous and loved to go for rides on a Harley through the mountains which she talked about often. She loved camping with her daughter every weekend in the summer. She was fantastic gardener and had a passion to travel. Margaret was lucky enough to have stood on 3 continents throughout her travels. She also loved opening up her home for visitors. She would go that extra mile and in turn she deservingly earned the badge of “Hostess with the Mostest”. An all around class act.

Sadly the 2 things that we her family and her friends will miss the most about her, is her love and smile. Margaret had a smile that could soften even the hardest of hearts. If that smile was accompanied by one of her gut driven laughs, it would spread like wildfire to anyone in range. Seeing her wipe away happy tears was always so beautiful. It’s just as addicting when you compare it to a baby’s laughter. It was such a beautiful sight to see and hear her like that and it happened so many times throughout her life. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. She would drop everything to care for them.

She faced many struggles as a mother but her love and determination made everything right. With Michelle the “mom” phase turned into a best friend. Margaret would always be up to start the camp fire and let her daughter sleep in. Michelle knew she could always count on her for advice but they had a friendship that went above and beyond from just being a mother and daughter. Raymond also benefited from that same core love. Raymond had a bad accident in his youth that may have challenged Margaret the most. Not only did she conquer that challenge, she protected Raymond from what was about to come in the days and months following. Raymond will fully admit that Margaret would still strain his roast beef gravy because he was too wimpy to eat the onions. That love for her children is a direct result of why they are here and living life.

Sadly Margaret lost her husband of 37 years in 2004. She stood beside Butch through thick and thin. She was definitely a “Rock” for Butch. She gave him her everything and loved him better than anyone ever could. Margaret was fortunate enough to find love for a 2nd time. Margaret shared a loving relationship with Peter. They’d go on motorbike excursions, nice dinners and truly enjoyed each other’s company. We fully supported her in new found happiness.

Margaret has now joined loved ones lost before her. Her husband Ray (Butch) Perrault, parents John and Veronica Catto, brother John, sister Patricia and nephew Billy. Margaret leaves behind to mourn her loss daughter Michelle, son Raymond, daughter In-Law Kristi, grandchildren Tyler, McKaylie and Quinn, brother David, sister in law Gladys, Greg and Deanna, sister Veronica, brother in law Dick and Lawrence, sister in-law Linda brother in law Ron, Billy and Cody.

We would like to extend our utmost thank you to everyone for their support during this sad time. We both feel that love is a direct result of Margaret’s influence on the world. Her beauty inside and out will live on forever in our hearts and god willing keep getting passed down through generations to come.

As per Margaret’s request no formal funeral will be held, however a celebration of life to be held at a later date with immediate family.
