It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 95 years of age.
Viola passed away peacefully at Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane where she has spent most of the last 14 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Cecil in May 2002, both her brothers Herbert and Raymond and most recently her daughter Marilyn in 2009.
Viola is lovingly remembered by her only sister Marion Foat, daughter Joan ( Bob) Thompson, son-in-law Len McSaveney, five grandchildren; Shelly (Devin) Christianson , Carla (Jay) Young, Leah (Kris) Jameus, Mike (Vanessa) McSaveney and Roger (Jasley) McSaveney along with great grandchildren; Brody, Brandon, Breanna, Miles, Mila, Taegan, Taylor & Kacy, Olivia, Charlotte, Jack, Ethan, Conner and Kate. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Viola’s life will be held at Bow Valley Baptist Church, 54 West Aarsby Road, Cochrane on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with a reception to follow.
