March 12, 1931 – January 11, 2013
John (Jack) William Billingham passed away peacefully on January 11, 2013, at the Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane, Alberta at 81 years of age. He was born March 12, 1931 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, the only child to Witt and Eva (Hall) Billingham. Jack spent his early years in Portage la Prairie, where he attended East Prospect School. After his marriage to Carol in 1954, they relocated to Calgary. Jack spent his working years in the aviation industry. He and Carol enjoyed dancing, music and socializing with their very large circle of friends. Near and dear to his heart were the times spent with friends from the Rustler’s RV club.
Jack was predeceased by his wife Carol, in 2005, to whom he was happily married for 50 years.
He is lovingly remembered by his sons, David (Heather), Gregg (MaryAnne) and Bruce (Tisha), and his beloved grandchildren Katie, Beth-Ellen, Lene, and Rory.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 15, 114 – 5th Avenue West, Cochrane, Alberta, on Friday, January 18th, 2013 at 1:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.
