Our cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 10th with Myrnie, his partner of 55 years, by his side. Jim was fanatically driven to achieve, could fix almost anything, and loved his family and friends dearly. Jim, the youngest of six, came from a humble upbringing and with amazing determination and innovation became a successful farmer/rancher. In his retirement, he put his energies, practicality, and passion into golfing and repurposing. He adored his winters in California and the journeys that he, Myrnie, and friends enjoyed on the way. His time and friendships in Radium, BC were particularly gratifying. Everyone who met Jim became his friend. He was a remarkable man who often had a smile on his face and a song in his heart. He also leaves behind three children (Jim, Deb, and Steve), and six grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at the Cochrane Alliance Church (902 Glenbow Dr, Cochrane) on Friday, July 15th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please do the “Jim-Thing” and make this world a better place.
