Angus Robert (Bob) Baptie

August 13, 1931 — May 31, 2019

August 13, 1931 – May 31, 2019

After a short battle with cancer Bob passed away peacefully at Dulcina Hospice.

Bob was born and raised north of Cochrane and loved the farming and ranching life. He raised a successful herd of commercial and purebred Herefords with his wife Betty and daughter Sandra. He loved animals and was often seen with one of his horses or a dog by his side; he passed this love on through generations. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, cattle penning, and most of all any time spent in the company of family and friends. He truly had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off of his back before you had a chance to ask.

Bob was predeceased by his parents Tom and Gladys Baptie, brother Jim Baptie, sister May Bozak, brother-in-laws Len Pepper, Gordon Tempany, Joe Bozak, Randy George, Leo Watrin, as well as his sister-in-law Maxine George. Bob was also predeceased by his son-in-law Doug Humphreys. Bob is remembered with great love and wonderful memories, by his wife of 64 years Betty, daughter Sandra Humphreys, granddaughter Kelly (Barry) Hofstra and great-grandchildren Calum and Kendyl. Bob is also survived by his sisters Peg Pepper, Cec Tempany, brother and sister-in-law Max and Sandy Jahn, sister-in-law Mary Watrin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A heartfelt thank you for the kind and compassionate care that Bob received from Cochrane Palliative Home Care Team, Home Instead, and Dulcina Hospice.
