MOLLER, Robert George

August 18, 1951 – July 2, 2022

Born in Gladstone, Manitoba to Reinhold Julius and Marie Elizabeth Moller (nee Lauber), he lived his first 4 years on the family farm in Plumas Manitoba, moving with the family to Winnipeg in 1957 where he lived until relocating to Cochrane in 2019.

Predeceased by his parents, Rob is survived by two sisters and a brother, Rose Palen, Helen Parent (Victor), Heinz Moller and other family members including 6 nieces and nephews, 11 grandnephews and grandnieces. He was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews, Wendy, Sandy, Vernon, Angela, Kimberly and Anthony, and will be missed.

He was a devoted son, living with and helping his mother in his childhood home until she relocated to a senior’s residence. While he never learned to drive, he bicycled everywhere around Winnipeg even riding out to Lee River on occasion until his stroke in 2008, but still continued to walk (or bus) wherever he needed to go.

Fiercely independent, dedicated and hard working, he loved spending time in Lee River with his brother at the cottage fishing and partying. He also liked to travel to Cochrane every summer to visit first his sister and then his Mother, often bringing along on the bus a mocha torte from Lange’s Bakery in Winnipeg (a taste of heaven). While he was quiet, he enjoyed being around activities and people especially a game of crib, which was a serious affair!

He had the most amazing personality & I enjoyed my time getting to know him.
I loved our daily newspaper reading.
Our shared love of A&W apple pies.
I’m also going to miss all of his decorating & our decorating competitions.
