MILLS, John
March 26,1936-November 16,2022
John passed away at age 86 peacefully early on the morning of November 16 at home with his wife Audrey by his side. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 65 years Audrey (nee Liddle), children Stephen, Catherine & Janet. Grandchildren Christopher, Erin, Ryan, Chelsea, Tegan, Nicolette, Alexandra & Keelan. Great grandchildren Makenzie, Phoenix, Jeremiah, Monique, Nixon, Lincoln, Ethan, Olivia, Scarlett & Penelope and best friend Cyril Turrett.
Born on March 26, in Ancoats (Manchester) England, John was one of 11 children. In 1975 John, his wife and children emigrated to Calgary, Alberta Canada. He worked as a roofer until retiring in 2004. John and Audrey moved to Creston British Columbia to live out their retirement years. John loved living on his acreage and tending to his many fruit trees. He was an extremely hard worker and did not slow down even in retirement. John loved to take his beloved dog Sammy to the park daily. Sammy remained at his side until he passed.
John was extremely devoted to his family, enjoying every minute he could with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He truly was the best. John had the most positive outlook always laughing and joking right till the end. He was very generous and giving and always helped others whether it be family, friends or even strangers. He will be truly missed and forever loved. We know you are at peace now, in heaven looking over us.

So saddened to hear the news of John’s passing. In the brief time I knew him John’s sense of humour, devotion to his loved ones and that “Naughty Twinkle” in his eye endeared him. Hugs Love and Peace you all with a special one to Audrey. Hope he meets my parents in Heaven and they have a Good Old Chinwag about Manchester Days

My Dad
A man amongst men
Mentor, teacher, and always hard working, even till his last days.
Strong family values, honest and a father figure one could only have wished for, he shaped me in so many ways.
He gave me strength growing up in some difficult circumstances, but he would never let me get down or feel defeated
My love for you will last to eternity,
RIP
Your beloved son
Stephen ❤️
