McDONALD, Nelson

August 18, 1924 – February 11, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce that Nelson McDonald passed away peacefully in Cochrane, Alberta at the age of 92.

Nelson was born in Vivian, Manitoba to Frank and Minnie McDonald. He was proud to serve in WWII from 1942-1945 in Europe as an Artillery Gunner, and he enjoyed his career as an Electrician. He was blessed to have 61 years with his dear wife, Irma.

Nelson lived a full and active life and he loved the outdoors and his many, many walks “in the bush”. He had a great love for animals, and he leaves his grand puppies Marci and Molly, kitties Sophie and Herbie, who will miss his many visits. He will be missed beyond words by his beloved son Darrell and his wife Debbie; his brother Ronald (Gladys); and all of his extended family. Nelson is predeceased by his wife Irma.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Humane Society.
