MCBAIN, Angeline Mary
December 28, 1931 – August 13, 2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved mother Angeline McBain (nee Cameron) of Cremona, Alberta passed away in Didsbury, AB on August 13, 2017 at the age of 85.
Angeline was born in Calgary to Margret and Angus Cameron and grew up in Dogpound, AB. She married George McBain in 1955 and together they farmed in the Cremona area where they raised their family, retiring in Cochrane in 1985. Angeline was an active member of both the Cremona and Cochrane communities. She was very involved in the United Church, the Cremona AG Society, and instrumental in raising funds to build the Cremona Arena. She also spent many years volunteering at the Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane where she entertained the residents by playing the piano.
Angeline will be greatly missed by her sons John (Caroline) and Douglas (Kathleen); her 5 grandchildren Timothy McBain, Samara McBain, Barbara Harrington (Graeme), Eleanor McBain, and Alexander McBain; her sisters Janet Bowhay and Kathy Eichel; and many other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband George in 2007, her parents, her brothers Ross and Jim, and her sister Rita.
The family would like to thank Angelie Arca, Angeline’s personal caregiver, and the Bethany Care Centres in Cochrane and Didsbury, for their wonderful care.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Cremona Community Hall (302 Centre St, Cremona, AB) on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
Donations may be made to Basic Health International Foundation (www.basichealthinternational.org), an organization locally supported by Dr. Hanlon, or to the Lindsay Leigh Kimmett Memorial Foundation (www.lindsaykimmett.net )

We are very sorry to hear the sad news about Angie. I have great childhood memories of my visits to the farm. I even have a picture of her horse “Brownie”. A great lady and friend!
