With deep sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Bernie May, in Strathmore, Alberta at the age of 56 years. Bernie’s proudest accomplishment was becoming a father; to Ruby Lynn in January 2007, followed by Winston Bernard in December 2008. His most cherished moments were spending time with his wonderful children.

It is with sadness as well that I say goodbye to Bernie .
We would often meet at Centre Street Church and pray and spend time together.
He had a huge heart and a dear love of family, church and most especially Jesus.
He will be missed but I pray for comfort for his family in his home going to be with His Lord.

I just found out today (April 20th) from a mutual friend, of Bernie’s passing, and I am so deeply shocked and saddened by this news. My deepest condolences to all his family members! I had known Bernie for several years, and I know how much he loved his children, and how he especially loved the Lord, whom I know he is with now. He will be greatly missed by many who knew him at Centre Street Church: his great smile, and big laugh, will be missed by all of us. We cling to the hope we have in Christ, that we will see Bernie again, in God’s Kingdom.

Bernie, you had such a heart for people and such a desire to see things grow and improve. It was with deepest sadness that today I came to learn of your passing. Although our friendship drifted, I will never forget the times we spent serving in conferences together and the special times of getting to know your family. Thank you for all those moments that you invested in my life! May your memory live on in the hearts of your kids, family and friends❤️
