LAMBERT, Vernon Wilbur

July 17, 1930 – November 3, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce that Vern Lambert of Cochrane passed away at home, at the age of 89 years.
Vern will be forever loved by his family and many friends. He will always be remembered for his sense of humour, his great passion for all animals, amazing stories and his incredible gift to remember dates and times.

It was in Cochrane that he met the love of his life, Evelyn Beadle, and they were married in 1953. Ev and Vern lived in a house that they built next to Ev’s parents until they moved to their ranch in the Grand Valley in 1976.
Vern was predeceased by his wife Evelyn Lambert, his father Leroy Lambert, mother Daisy Lambert, brothers Gordon Lambert and Ray Lambert.
A Celebration of Vern’s Life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church (128 1 St E, Cochrane, AB T4C 1Z3) on Friday, November 29, 2019 at 11:00 am.

Verns family may you all cherish the memories that you have of him he was so much a part of the place he called home.May you find comfort in who he was and the life he lived.
Vern was a part of our family, he was like a brother to my Father. They worked and laughed together for many years. Vern left this world on his terms as I knew he would. I will miss him, he was one of the good old boys. Be at peace Vern, give Dad a hug from all of us.
A treasured friend. My memories will be of his passion for animals, his crazy sense of humor, his amazing memory, well-kept farm yard and the stories………….so many stories. We are fortunate to live in one of the houses that Vern and his brothers built. I consider it a privilege to have been his friend. Godspeed Vern. I will miss you.
