Elsie passed away peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre in Cochrane, at the age of 95 years.
Born in Acme Alberta, she spent her early years on the family farm, before moving to Calgary where she met and married Edward her husband of 58 years.
She was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker and the family enjoyed most weekends camping in the Rockies.
In retirement, Ed and Elsie explored BC. traveled to Hawaii and Europe, and enjoyed family.
She is survived by son James (Lori), cherished granddaughters Lindsay Kromm of Toronto, Lauren (Greg) Rutherford of Calgary, great granddaughter Grace Rutherford, and great grandson Brady Rutherford.
She is also survived by sister in law Lillias Kromm, Louise(Fred) Knittel, and brother in law Roy Weitz.
Elsie was predeceased by her husband Ed in 2007, brother Daniel and sisters Clara (Gordon) Zapf, and Evelyn Weitz.
A private family graveside service will be held at Queens Park Cemetery.
