No words can express how shocked we were to hear of Gary’s passing. Our hearts and thoughts are with you all.
I have very many fond memories of Family BBQs on the Kjersem Farm by the old Power Plant in Estevan. All the Aunts and Uncles would solve the world problems while all the cousins would go on trial rides on the ponies they had on the farm.Gary rode his favorite pony Thunder and then later his horse King. On sleep overs we would help Karen and Gary do their chores,go swimming and then go to the pasture to bring the sheep home. These are only a few of the memories that I will cherish forever. Cheryl & I went to the same schools and then were roommates in Regina. Oddly my husband Blair was Gary’s roommate along with Ted and Bill while going to university. May all your Cherished memories bring joy, laughter & comfort at this very difficult time. May you know you are not alone as there are many who share in your Loss.
Rest in Peace Gary. You will be truly missed. Blair and Ruth (Cousin)

Hearts are with Gary’s family. He brought so much joy when we would listen to him and brother Dave play guitars in the campsite and before John’s wedding. Hugs to all!
Cheryl and family, so very very sorry to learn of Gary’s passing. Many memories of school days, for both Pat and I, and as Ruth and Blair make reference to Gary and his horses. I remember fondly the annual Estevan Exhibition where we both took our horse to show and compete. This is where I first met Gary. Cheryl, am so glad we spoke the other evening and to talk of your memories and family. Sure thinking of you at this sad time.
Cheryl and family, please accept my deepest sympathy on Gary’s passing. It saddens my heart to know another valley friend is gone. The Kjersem family has been part of our growing up years and we will cherish those memories forever. May God in his mercy grant you peace and comfort at this most difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of deep loss. I also have great memories of many Sundays spent at the Kjersem farm with pony rides and lots of music and laughter. Treasure your memories and continue his legacy of music and joy. Judy (cousin) & Gary Moroz
Nathan was the best man at Gary & Cheryl’s wedding and Gary and was best man at our wedding. Lots of wonderful memories over the years. Those are the times you never forget. Cheryl, Chris, Amanda and precious grandson and family we can only imagine how much you will miss him. Also our condolences to Gary’s brothers, sister and relatives. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
My thoughts and prayers for you Cheryl and your family for your loss of Gary. I think so often of the wonderful times of friendship that we shared when building our homes side by side at Cochrane, can’t imagine how how you will miss him ❤️
Cheryl, Chris and Amanda. We are saddened to hear of Gary’s passing. We will always remember his infectious wit, laughter and positive outlook on life and of the people around him. I was lucky to have worked with Gary and to have made several work related training trips with him. He would always ensure we arrived a couple of days early to our destination in order that we acclimated ourselves to the new surroundings which he thoroughly enjoyed. Gary would be our chauffer when exploring the city’s interesting sites and scenery due to him being prone to car sickness if he was riding in the passenger seat. The memories will be cherished going forward. Our thoughts are with you during this challenging time in your lives.
So saddened to hear the news of Gary’s passing. He was one of the first people I met at Shell Jumping Pound and he brought so much joy to our office. The many times he brought out the crib board to calm the managers down, the volunteer work he was involved in were so appreciated! He made all of us laugh so often, something that is sadly missing these days. The last time I chatted with Gary was at the Big Hill Lodge where my mom is now. He was playing his guitar
Gene and I send our thoughts and prayers to you Cheryl and your family. He will truly be missed!
My thoughts to you and your family Cheryl. Many fond memories living next door at Cochrane Lake. Take care.
I had the great pleasure of working with Gary at the beginning of my career. He was by far the best part of going to work, I never knew what story he would tell that day but I’m knew without a doubt we would share a laugh or two. He was one of the greatest men I ever met and my only regret is not staying better in touch. My condolences to you Cheryl and your beautiful family!

Dear Mrs. Kjersem, you were such a big part of my life and I got to hear so much about your adventures with Gary that I felt I knew him too. We are so saddened by your loss and you are in our thoughts.
From the all the Jammers at Seniors on the Bow, we too are saddened at the loss of Gary and his wonderful guitar music, he was an accomplished musician who graced our weekly sessions with his songs and smiling presence, we will continue to play his favorites. A very old one (by Patsy Cline in the ’50s) I remember is “You Belong to Me” which he could not accept and instead sang as “I love you”a beautiful rendition.
Cheryl and family, we are so very sorry to hear of Gary’s passing. We will most certainly miss seeing Gary’s wonderful smile and our chats here at the clinic.
You are in our thoughts.
