KILPATRICK, Mary Lynne

April 20, 1948 – October 21, 2022

Lynne was born in Calgary, Alberta on April 20th, 1948 to Alan & Florence Francis. She spent her childhood in Calgary with her older brother Wayne and her younger brother Don.

Lynne was a dedicated and loving wife of 53 years to Ron Kilpatrick. She passed away on what would have been their 55th wedding anniversary. Lynne lived in the Village of Gull Lake with Ron until his passing on 2021, she then moved to Carstairs, Alberta to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

Lynne was an incredible mother that displayed unconditional love. She led her life with integrity and grace with a forgiving spirit. There was always fresh baking on the counter, a meal in the oven and a coffee brewing… her door was always open. She was always available to lend a helping hand or listen without judgement.

Lynne had a giving heart which was shared throughout her career with the special needs community. She was an advocate for adults with disabilities and participated annually in the Special Olympics.

Lynne’s passion and talent as an artist will be displayed on the walls of future generations. She had an incredible passion for life, adventure, cooking, Christmas and travelling. From snow tubing to snorkeling, deep sea fishing to tequila tours, she was ALL IN, ALL OF THE TIME!

Christmas was her favorite holiday and her home was the family gathering place where card games, goodies, baking and décor galore would greet you at the door!

We will forever mourn the loss of such an amazing mother and spend a life time trying to fill the void that her passing has caused.

I’ve known Lynne for over 20 years. I am the lady that took Garette into my home after his ordeal. Your Mother meant so much to me. I was just texting back and forth with her a few months ago trying to set up a time to meet up with her to hang out. I can’t explain in words how sad I was to hear the news. I’m so thankful Lynne and I were friends. She was always there for me. I loved her dearly. I know how much she loved her family. My condolences to her family.
