It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Maureen Dawn Hupkes on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 68.
Maureen was born in Calgary, Alberta and lived for many years in Cochrane, Alberta. She really enjoyed going for drives and having visits with family members. She loved Christmas, especially looking at all the beautiful Christmas lights in town. She also enjoyed all kinds of animals, especially farm animals. She was a loving wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. We will miss her.
Maureen is survived by her husband, Gerrit Hupkes; children, Maria (Joel) Delamarre, Lisa Hupkes, Peter Hupkes; grandchildren, Brandon, Isabella, Stacy; great-grandchildren, Kingsley, and Bentley; sister, Shawna and (Dave) Mummert; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Hupkes, Dina (Don) Kreller, Henry (Margaret) Hupkes; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Maureen was predeceased by her parents, William and Fern O’Neil, mother and father-in-law, Mary and Henry Hupkes; and sister-in-law, Bertha Van Nes.
A Celebration of Maureen’s Life was held Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. For a limited time you may view the service at:
