HRYNCHUK, Annie
July 18, 1920 – October 1, 2011

My mother, Anne Hrynchuk died very peacefully, with dignity and respect on Saturday, October 1, 2011 with family, friends, and pets present. Mom was struggling the past while with the challenges of old age, having just celebrated her 91st birthday. Mom had to move from her Winnipeg home in 2007 and has been living in Calgary with her daughter Patty since that time. It’s in the past four years that one really got to know the amazing soul she really was, her sense of humour, no matter who came, mom greeted everyone with her welcoming smile and kiss, and despite physical issues, she did her utmost. Her spirit inspired all. Anne was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1977 and most recent dear sister Pearl in 2010, her devoted Pekeo in 2009 and her remaining brothers and sisters over the past several years. She will be desperately missed by Patty, neice Alice ( John ) in Virginia, nephew Myron in Toronto and her many many friends and her beloved pet Minnie. Very Very special thanks to Dr. Sandy Lahey, Fran, Linji, Nicky, Eliska, Caren, Lynda S., Linda S., Gloria, and Patrick. Also a special thank you to Wally and Jean in Winnipeg, as well as her mobile lab team of Aurora and Nikki. Cremation has Taken place. Anne’s cremated remains will be interred at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, Winnipeg at a later date. A gathering of her friends will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Cochrane Palace Chinese Restaurant ( Mom’s very favourite ) in Cochrane, Alberta. No flowers please. If you so desire, donations may be made in Anne’s honour to Heaven Can Wait ( pet rescue ), Box 6131, High River, AB. Anne will be dearly missed by many. I will always remember her beautiful soul and smiling spirit that welcomed me so wholeheartedly. She always found time to chat and she had a way of making me feel we had always been dear friends and we were simply catching up on lost time. In loving memory of a compassionate, wonderful, and truly lovely woman. I am blessed to have known her.

    Our Dearest Patty,

We are so deeply saddened and heart broken over the loss of your beloved Mother, our loving and caring Auntie Annie, my doting Godmother. So many cherished memories will never be forgotten.

Your Mom always told me she would be so lost without you. She loved you very much.

Our Moms, who were so close, are now together again. God bless them both.

    Love forever, Alice & Myron

I am sorry to read in the Winnipeg Free Press that your mother had passed away. I remember
how she always welcomed me when I slept over at your place many years ago. I often think about you.
