Dear Aunt Joyce, Donnie and Jaden,

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss…our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.

Uncle David was a wonderful man who had a great love for his family, a kind heart, a love for telling stories and a quirky sense of humour just like my dad and our Aunt Sybil.

I was fortunate enough to spend a brief amount of time with Uncle David as we have always been separated by vast distances. But to know Uncle David was to know Aunt Sybil and my own father, they truly were three peas from the same pod. There was always a special warmth in their hearts, a smile in their eyes and a genuine happiness to see you or talk to you.

I am certain that Uncle David, Aunt Sybil and my father Jack are all sitting up there reflecting on what wonderful families they have raised and telling each other stories of the lives they have lead and chuckling away in that same special Heggie manner.

Uncle David shall remain forever in our hearts.

God bless you all in Canada from all the Heggie’s in Australia.
